About Us
SWAY is a registered charity, founded in 2014, dedicated to inspiring and supporting young people across the South Wight. Guided by a passionate board of trustees and supported by local parish councils and churches, we create opportunities for young people to grow, connect, and thrive.

SWAY is a faith-based charity but we warmly welcome and work alongside people and families of any, or no, faith.
Our Story
In March 2018, the Isle of Wight Council announced that there would be no further funding for youth work providers on the island.

Since then, we have relied on the incredible generosity of our community. More than half of our £60,000 annual budget is underwritten by our supporters - we call them Friends.

We believe in working closely with our neighbours and local supporters to foster genuine community engagement - the heartbeat of everything we do. We are deeply grateful to all the organisations and individuals who stand alongside us in this mission.

We also welcome partnerships with national organisations who have a presence on the island. We’re eager to build relationships that create real impact - where measurable outcomes align with our partners’ core values and mission.

Within our team, we have experienced professionals with backgrounds in marketing and communications, ready to collaborate on mutually beneficial campaigns that deliver results with transparency and accountability.
